The seven metrics that matter
- Monthly recurring revenue (or repeat revenue %)
- Gross margin by product line
- CAC payback period
- Pipeline coverage vs target
- Net revenue retention
- Cash runway in months
- Employee NPS or weekly pulse
Build for decisions, not vanity
Every metric on the dashboard should map to a decision you'd make differently if it moved. If it doesn't, it's noise. Cut it.
